Every year since 1996, the Better Business Bureau gives a very prestigious award called the BBB Torch Award to companies that fit certain categories of organization, work ethics, communication, unity within a company, charitable, leadership and Human Resource practices. All of these characteristics are looked at before a company can even qualify for a nomination.
In 2017, a truly honorable company was nominated and won this award. One that was selected by an independent panel of judges after nominations and won the award for the best Market Place Ethics. Aloha Construction, based out of Lake Zurich, Illinois was presented the 2017 BBB Torch Award. It is a very prestigious award and only a few are nominated and one is chosen for this award which has very high standards. Aloha Construction specializes in roofing, siding, and gutters. All of their service for roofing comes with a ten year warranty. They recently branched off to different divisions and opened up an interior remodeling division that fixes interior damages to homes and businesses.
As for the charity toward the community, there was multiple areas that got noticed for Aloha Construction. One of the biggest noted from the BBB was Aloha Construction partnered with Learning Express and chose a local family to go on a toy shopping spree. A single mother with 4 girls had the opportunity to grab as many toys within 60 seconds and they ended up grabbing over $7000 in toys in which they were able to keep. The CEO of Aloha Construction, David Farbaky also has The David Farbaky Foundation which sponsors kids in sporting events and kids who have illnesses receive donations from the Foundation. For example, one 12 year old boy who suffers from congenital heart failure and 11 of his friends were chosen to attend inside the box suites and watch the live game of the Chicago Bulls who played against the Houston Rockets. All these plus many more are reasons that Aloha Construction has won the well deserved 2017 BBB Torch Award.
